Tammy and Diego Flores

Tammy and Diego Flores have been missing since October 23, 2007 from Victorville, California. Tammy was born on March 30, 2004 and was 3 years old at the time of her disappearance. Diego was born on July 28, 2005 and was 2 years old at the time of his disappearance. Tammy and Diego were abducted by their non-custodial father, Francisco Flores.  On October 21, 2007, Griselda, Tammy and Diego’s mother, dropped her children off at the Ontario Police Department in Florida for a scheduled 1 week visitation with their father.  Griselda, knowing Francisco’s violent and unpredictable temperment phoned the children daily to check on their well being.  On October 23, 2007, she lost contact with her children and ex husband and has since to hear from any of them.  Griselda distraught and fearing for her children’s well being was forced to sit it out and wait until Sunday October 28, 2007 to file an official police report, the date her children were due to be returned.  After filing the report, police officials informed Griselda that they could do nothing until she had received full custody for the children.  Griselda wasted no time and on October 31, 2007 – she was granted full legal and physical custody of Tammy and Diego.  She again returned to the Ontario Police Department and filed another official report for kidnapping and abduction against Francisco.  During the local investigation, investigators collected information detailing how Francisco had refinanced his house, quit his job, sold his car, and liquidated and withdrew all of his savings within the week before his planned visitation, thus confirming he had planned the abduction well in advance.

A felony warrant for kidnapping was issued for the abductor on January 18, 2008.  At this time the FBI was called in to investigate the abduction of the Flores children.  The FBI appallingly took very little interest or action in this case to recover these children.  Griselda was told by an FBI agent that in Mexico, parental abduction was NOT considered a crime, therefor the Mexican Government was protecting the abductor as a Mexican citizen, which rendered the FBI useless in the search, recovery and closure of the case.  Griselda – full of fight and fear refused to accept this as the end of the road, she herself contacted the Mexican Authorities and the Mexican Justice Department requesting they file parental abduction charges against Francisco – which IS IN FACT, a crime in Mexico.

Griselda, Tammy and Diego were essentially shuffled to the bottom of the pile in this case by the FBI as the case was deamed closed.  The FBI closed this case stating the children were in Mexico, when in fact there is NO evidence to date to support that they have even ever left America.  In my personal opinion, Griselda was refused her right as an American citizen to have her children protected and the law enforced by the FBI when they handled the investigation with little regard and effort and prematurely closed the case file with NO evidence.

It is time to fight next to Griselda and to continue to show her our support.  We will not allow the abductor, her ex husband whom emotionally, psychologically and physically battered her for many, many years to walk away with these children as he seems to think he can do.  Let’s not forget these two beautiful children, and let’ bring them home to their loving mother – enough time has passed.

Francisco and the children may still be in the local area, or they may travel to Oregon or to Mexico. Francisco Flores has a mole on each cheek and one under his nose. He was born on April 23, 1974, has black hair, brown eyes, is 6′0” tall and weighs 210 pounds.
