  1. Still have great hopes that Ethan will be returned to his daddy. Praying!

  2. Ethan was finally reunited with his father on April 18th 2013 after 3.5 years of separation. Ethan was illegally abducted by his mother Carla Isabel Velasco to Cochabamba Bolivia.

  3. Ethan was finally reunited with his father after a 3.5 year seperation. While the visit was very brief (only 1.5 hours) it was one of the happiest moments of my life.

    • Thank you for the information. However, Ethan is still classified as missing with the NCMEC. As soon as they remove his case I will edit our posts to show he has been brought home.
I suspect that they are just going through the reunification progress right now, just getting Ethan and his Dad reaquinted before they officially place Ethan with his Dad.
On a personal, this news fills me with joy. Ethan and his father deserve to have peace, and I am sure this is a great first step in ending their nightmare!
Feel free to post any updates you would like about Ethan and his Dad, I know our followers will be very excited and happy that he is finally back with his Dad.

      • Nadine-I am Ethan’s dads neighbor and one of his best friends, Lisa. The above posts from writer ‘findethan’ are from his dad, Fife Ellis. He notified NCMEC yesterday. This case is far from over as there isnt a current reunification process yet and Ethan is not with his dad. His dad will be leaving Bolivia without his son. Bolivia does not recognize US laws or divorce decrees/custody orders and getting Ethan home will still be an uphill battle. Here is an update directly from his dad .

here is an update on Ethan Ellis

I am the father of ethan fernando ellis and I have an update on the case of ethan fernando ellis who has been missing since october 18 2009.

His mother carla isabel velasco abducted ethan to cochabamba bolivia in october 2009. She filed for a false birth certificate in cochabamba bolivia for ethan ellis in 2010. I can send a copy of the fake birth certificate as proof if you like.

I have spent the last 3.5 years trying to get my son back from bolivia and only recently have made some progress with the courts in bolivia and finally was able to see my son this week. I have attached a photo of us together that was taken on april 18th.

It was a very happy reunion and recognized me immediately. My son has unfortunately forgotten his english and now only speaks spanish. Despite this we managed to have a 1.5 hour conversation to catch up on the last 3.5 years. I will see him 2 more times in the childrens court before I have to go back home to the united states.

I am still working to bring him home. Anything you can do to raise the awareness of my sons wrongful abduction would be greatly appreciated. The more pressure that is put on the bolivian government to return my son to his home will undoubtedly help.

If you have any questions I can be reached by email at fife.ellis@comcast.net or by phone at 832-434-5452.
        Thank you!

  4. Thanks for the information. I will update the article later today, can I send it to you before I post it just to ensure I am getting all of the right information out there for you? If you could send me a response to my email address, lightingtheirwayhome@hotmail.ca , I would greatly appreciate it. I think it might be better to communicate through email rather than posting everything in comments, it just provides a little more privacy, and provides me with the opportunity to ensure what I write is accurate. Thank You!
