LISA IRWIN – ENDANGERED MISSING October 4, 2011 – UPDATED 10.02.2013
Date of Birth: November 11, 2010
Height: 2’6” Weight: 30 lbs
Hair: Blonde Eyes: Blue
Missing: October 4, 2011 From: Kansas City, MO
Distinguishing Features: Birthmark on her right thigh.
Last seen wearing purple pants and a purple shirt with kittens.
On the night of October 3, 2011, Lisa’s mother, Deborah Bradley, put her to bed at 6:30 PM. When Lisa’s father, Jeremy Irwin returned home from work at 4:00 AM, he found is front door unlocked, a bedroom window appeared to have been tampered with and the family’s 3 cell phones were missing. He then checked in on Lisa and found her missing.
Bradley’s story has no stayed consistent since reporting the disappearance to authorities. She eventually admitted to being quite intoxicated on the night of Lisa’s disappearance, and states she may have even ‘blacked out’. Deborah Bradley took a polygraph test and was told by authorities that she had failed said test. While many people whom fail a polygraph claim to have failed due to a high level of stress and anxiety, it is simply untrue. This however, does not affect the outcome of a polygraph test. In such cases where emotions are running high, that level of emotion is calibrated to be the base line. Jeremy Irwin offered to take a polygraph, however police deemed it unnecessary.
Police have searched the couple’s home, nearby wooded areas, an industrial park, landfills and sewers. It is reported that cadaver dogs alerted to the scent of decomposition in the house on the floor of Deborah Bradley’s bedroom.
Shortly after reporting Lisa’s disappearance to police, authorities stated that the couple became uncooperative. They will not submit to separate interviews which would allow detectives the opportunity to ask the tough questions which need to be answered.
As for Lisa’s older brothers, 5 and 8, child specialists were allowed to speak to the boys on October 4th. However it took weeks after for the couple to allow the boys to have their DNA samples taken, simply to allow detectives to eliminate some of the ‘unknown’ samples of DNA taken in the home.
As of Lisa’s first birthday on November 11, not much progress has been made in the search for Baby Lisa, and at this time, it appears that Bradley has many more questions to answer if we are ever to find out what truly happened to the little girl.
There is currently an award of $100,000.00 for any person having information that leads to the recovery of Baby Lisa.
UPDATE – NOVEMBER 21, 2011
Lisa’s half brother Blake, 8 years old, may be placed in the temporary care of his biological mother, Rasleem Raim, after she applied for an Emergency Motion for Temporary Custody when she became concerned for his safety following Lisa’s disappearance. Blake and his brother, Michael, 5, were asleep in bed when baby Lisa went missing.
John Picerno, Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin’s attorney, held a news conference on Lisa’s 1st birthday, claiming that he had been informed that the parents were suspects in their daughter’s disappearance. Police deny these claims.
UPDATE – NOVEMBER 24, 2011
A Dallas psychic Stephanie Almaguer believes Baby Lisa is no longer alive. According to a KMBC report, Almaguer has had visions that the baby was accidentally killed in her home and the body was dumped near a former casino near Interstate 435 and Missouri Highway 210, just a couple of miles from the Irwin home.
Volunteers are planning a search of the area around Sam’s Town Casino this Saturday, hoping that the search operation will bring an end in the investigation.
Almaguer is a school security officer by profession, and predicted the Moragan Harrington case accurately. Almaguer has never been to the locations she talks about in the Lisa Irwin case, but people in Kansas City, after visiting her blog, said the sketch posted described the site perfectly.
UPDATE – NOVEMBER 30, 2011
Approximately 25 volunteers braved the rain and cold temperatures of winter in Kansas City, on Saturday, to help search the old Sam’s Town Casino property and find new clues to help solve the mystery of Lisa Irwin’s disappearance. Though the team of volunteers returned without significant discoveries, that of an old well, Kansas City Police believe, is worth investigation.
The volunteers, during their search from the Chouteau Bridge to Highway 210, found a well (believed to be more than 10 feet deep) and when told of the discovery, police officials were understood to say that there was no reason why it shouldn’t be searched.
“We are exploring the possibility of searching it soon. Numerous resources are needed to get it done, but no reason not to search it,” Kansas City Police spokesman, Steve Young states.
UPDATE – DECEMBER 6, 2011
In a surprising twist, Lisa Irwin’s parents Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin have requested that there be no further prayer vigils held on the front lawn or at their house stating they want to get their lives back to normal and move on. Many are asking how a ‘normal’ state of life can be reached with your 1 year old baby girl allegedly abducted and still missing ….. I for one would like to hear the answer to that. Having worked countless numbers of missing child cases, I can tell you that parents don’t just move on and try to get back to normal a mere 2 months after a child’s disappearance. Parents will search the four corners of the Earth until the end of time to find their baby and bring them home.
