ALEXANDER ERB-SANCHEZ – FAMILY ABDUCTION November 7, 2008 – USMCC000158LTWH – UPDATED 05.22.2013
Date of Birth: July 20, 2007
Biracial (White/Hispanic) Male
Height: 2’6” Weight: 24 lbs
Hair: Auburn Eyes: Brown
Missing: November 7, 2008 From: Ellenton, FL
Distinguishing Features: He has a birthmark on his lower back.
Alexander was abducted by his non-custodial mother, Micaela Sanchez Vasquez. A felony warrant for kidnapping was issued for Micaela on November 7, 2008. Alexander’s father, Bradley Erb, says he last saw his son on November 4. Sometime between November 4 and November 7, Micaela fled with Alexander and all their belongings. The police refused to accept a missing person’s report until November 7, the date of Bradley’s next visitation. He claims Micaela’s family and neighbours lied to him about her whereabouts in order to mislead the investigation and give Micaela time to get away. Alexander and Micaela may be in Washington state or in Mexico.
Bradley Erb, has travelled to Juxtlahuaca, Mexico, Micaela’s hometown, in an attempt to find Alexander, but the little boy still remains missing. Bradley has remained constant in his efforts to involve missing child organizations in his son’s case, and in an effort to gain more media attention for his son. Bradley has been quoted saying “I believe the more the story is in front of people, the more likely someone is to recognize them and report their whereabouts, but it is very difficult trying to get the media interested.” Unfortunately this isn’t very surprising. The media, law enforcement and general public opinion when a child is abducted by a parent is that no harm will come to a child when they are with a parent. These cases do not garner the urgency as a stranger abduction does, and it’s our job to continue to advocate for this to change. AN ABDUCTION IS AN ABDUCTION. Please look at Alexander’s information, this is a little boy, a little boy that has been kept away from his home for too long. Please don’t stand by any longer.
Regardless of the lack of attention that Alexander’s case has received, Bradley is far from giving up hope. “I love my son to death and I want him back. It is extremely hard not knowing, especially when there are people out there who know where Micaela and Alex are. Please help me find him. I need my son back.”
