ANJALAYIAH HICKS – RESOLVED
Anjalayiah’s case has been resolved. Thank you to all of those who followed her case.
*****Anjalayiah has been located in Mexico. Her father is currently in Mexico fighting to bring his little girl home, however Mexican authorities are not cooperating making it next to impossible to bring this beautiful little girl home. I have been in touch with Anjalayiah’s father and stepmother, and I have to say, they are exceptionally kind, caring people, and they have fought so hard to bring Anjalayiah home. These people need your help, they need your thoughts and your prayers. Throughout this entire ordeal, the only thing they have ever asked for is prayers. So please, leave a comment and show your support. These are members of the LTWH family, let’s show them the support that comes from a family!*****

Missing: October 15, 2011 From: Dalton, GA
Alias Last Name: Reyes-Rios
Anjalayiah was abducted by her non-custodial mother, Brandi Michelle Reyes-Rios (She may use her maiden name Moorehead). The two are believed to be in the company of Reyes-Rios’ new husband, Rigoberto Reyes-Rio. Somehow, Rigoberto was allowed to illegally adopt Anjalayiah, however a judge overturned the decision because the little girl’s father, Shundy Hicks, had not consented to the adoption. Rigoberto was later deported to Mexico after being convicted of arson. Around this time, Anjalayiah began to tell her father during visitations that she was sleeping on a mattress on the floor and there were boxes everywhere. Reye-Rios claimed to not be leaving the country, and applied for permission to take Anjalayiah to Alabama, where she claimed her mother was ill. Reyes-Rio and Hicks went through an intense legal battle, where Hicks won sole custody of his daughter. By then it was too late however. Anjalayiah and her mother had disappeared and were never heard from again. An arrest warrant has been issued for Reyes-Rio. Hicks has applied for Anjlayiah’s return under the International Civil Treaty: The Hague Convention on the Civil Rights of International Child Abduction. They are believed to be in Mexico.
