Tina were last seen by her foster mother at 3 PM, on September 30, 2012, at the Vallarta Supermarket at 1801 W. Avenue I in Lancaster.
The foster mother told detectives that she had been shopping at the market with Tina and her sister Duchess earlier in the day, however, when they returned home, the girls asked her to return to the market because they had left something inside the store.
When she returned to the market, she allowed the girls to go inside to retrieve the item, but the girls never returned, the foster mother said.
She told detectives that she is also the “foster mother” for the girls’ nine-year-old sister.
In interviewing the sister, detectives learned that the two missing girls had formulated a plan to run away from the foster home and live with their half-sister somewhere in the Los Angeles area. The girls are part of a family that lives a nomadic lifestyle, according to detectives.
The girls’ father, Anthony Ristick, is considered a “person of interest” by detectives.
Detectives have been unable to identify and locate the half-sister, but detectives have been in contact with the girls’ biological mother, who lives in Colorado. The woman was unable to provide any information regarding the girls’ whereabouts, detectives said.
Prior to placement in the foster home, the girls had been in the care of their biological father, Anthony Ristick. Ristick’s last known address was in Oregon, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
In September of 2014, Tina’s sister, Duchess, was located and recovered. There has been no information released surrounding Duchess’ recovery. Tina remains missing.
